Kwik Trip Inc. expects it will eventually have to add a distribution center as the business continues to grow. The La Crosse-based gas station and convenience store chain now has more than 800 stores. This year, Kwik Trip expects to add 42 new stores, creating about 40 to 50 new jobs with each location. Steve Loehr, the vice president of Kwik Trip, said the business relies on its distribution center in La Crosse to supply all the stores, which receive deliveries daily. Speaking at an event this month hosted by the Waukesha County Business Alliance, Loehr said supplying all the stores from La Crosse grows more challenging as Kwik Trip adds locations farther away.
