LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Black Friday is the kick-off to the holiday shopping season, but Saturday is a huge day for local businesses. Saturday is Small Business Saturday and the kick-off to Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers' new campaign, the ‘Shop Small Wisconsin' season which runs through New Year's Eve. La Crosse is taking part. Downtown Mainstreet employees say there is no better time to shop local. 'It's important now more than ever to shop local and continue your support of your local businesses because they are still trying to navigate the aftermath of the pandemic,' said Events and Promotions Coordinator Marissa Mundinger.
