Middleton's No. 1 doubles team of Ashley Andler/Keena Cheng defeated Madison West's Tyra Gustavson/Molly Ryan 6-1, 6-2 to capture the championship at the Big Eight Conference girls tennis tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on Friday. It was one of four championships for the Cardinals. Other Middleton champions: Sophie Shi defeated Verona's Nicole Repka 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles; Rishika Kommuri toppled top-seeded Anna Dalebroux of Verona 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 singles; and at No. 3 doubles, Mia Balistreri/Hannah Lister downed Madison West's Kaia Berghahn/Dakota Hansen 6-2, 6-3.
